Q: What does a 4:1 maca extract mean?
The amounts of extracts are listed in two different formats: the amount of an ingredient and the quantity crude equivalent (or QCE). The ratio is of the extract meaning that for every X grams (or mg) of a certain extract to be produced, it takes X grams (or mg) of the raw/unprocessed ingredient. In this case, it means that for every 1 mg of maca extract, it takes 5 mg of raw or unprocessed maca.
