Enhance Your Routine

  • Used as an adaptogen to reduce the negative effects of stress
  • Helps increase energy levels
  • Reduces mental fatigue

Features

When the odd afternoon nap becomes a requirement in the daily routine, the weight of fatigue begins to burden everyday functioning. Naturally lift your energy level with Organika’s 6-year-old root Korean Red Ginseng Capsules, providing 500 mg of Panax ginseng to increase energy in periods of fatigue and debility, particularly under stressful conditions.

For thousands of years, Panax ginseng, which is native to China and Korea, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of fatigue. Unlike western medicine, which attempts to target a specific re-alignment or treat individual symptoms, traditional Chinese medicine targets the whole system to treat a particular disease.

The active agents in Panax ginseng are ginsenosides, a group of saponins which help the body adapt to various stressors. Ginseng contains over 32 ginsenosides, each producing a variety of effects in the body. Red ginseng is made from mature, 6-year-old roots that are harvested, steamed (a process that gives it the reddish colour for which it is named) and then dried.  It is energetically warm in nature, thereby producing a warming effect on the body. It has high antioxidant properties and powerful adaptogen properties that allow the body to naturally deal with stress.

Panax ginseng has been long used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Herbal Medicine to:

  • Increase energy during periods of fatigue and debility
  • Enhances physical and mental performance in stressful situations

FAQ

Q: Why do your products use only 6-year-old Korean Ginseng as a raw material?
A: Korean Ginseng is a perennial plant. When it is in its sixth year of growth, it reaches its optimal level for containing ginsenosides – the main active ingredient of ginseng. Our Korean Red Ginseng contains 5% ginsenoide extract

Q: Is Siberian Tiger ginseng similar to Korean Red ginseng?
A: Siberian Tiger ginseng is actually not a part of the ginseng family, it's part of the eleutherocuccus genus. Because It has similar adaptogenic properties to a ginseng, over time it has been incorrectly referred to as a type of ginseng, and the name has stuck.

Q: What about the difference between Korean Red ginseng and American ginseng?
A: Both Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng) and American Ginseng (Panax quinqufolius) are both adaptogens that contain the phytochemicals ginsenosides.  As Korean has higher overall percentages of these ginsenosides, it’s considered more medicinally effective. American, however, is used often for its role in improving immune function and its adaptogenic properties.

Q: What are adaptogens?
A: Adaptogens are plants, herbs and mushrooms that help us adapt to or recover from the damaging effects of environmental or lifestyle stresses. They have been used for thousands of years in traditional Indian and Chinese medicine practices, and are revered for their ability to bring the body back into homeostasis — the body’s natural place of balance.

Q: Who needs adaptogens?
A: When stress constantly piles high, our body’s response can be negatively affected, increasing the risk of disease. Some daily life factors that may cause stress include:

  • Poor eating and sleep habits
  • Stored mental and emotional tension
  • Unaddressed physical symptoms and diseases
  • Financial, family, work, and social obligations
