Q: What is the extraction method used for the mushrooms?
Water extraction! The process is used to extract the bioactive compounds and nutrients from mushrooms using water as a solvent. This method involves steeping or simmering the mushrooms in water at a specific temperature and duration to release their beneficial compounds, such as beta-glucans, polysaccharides, and other phytonutrients. The resulting liquid, known as a mushroom extract, is then spray dried into a powder and incorperated into our capsules. Water extraction is a popular technique to enhance the bioavailability and therapeutic properties of mushrooms, making their nutrients more easily absorbed by the human body.
Q: What do the ratios next to the ingredients mean?
The amounts of extracts are listed in two different formats: the amount of an ingredient and the quantity crude equivalent (or QCE). The ratio is of the extract meaning that for every X grams (or mg) of a certain extract to be produced, it takes X grams (or mg) of the raw/unprocessed ingredient.
Q: How do I know what the serving size is and ensure that I am giving myself the proper dose?
1-2 mL per day is the recommended dose. 1 mL is about 1/2 of the dropper full.
